The antiseptic and antimildew composition is composed of 10-50% antiseptic aqueous solution 2-15 weight%, antimildew agent 2-6 weight%, rapid germicide 2-5 weight%, solvent 65-80 weight%, additive 0.5-5 weight%, stabilizing agent 0-5 weight%, and addnl. water. The antiseptic is from 2-methylisothiazolinone, 5-chloro-2-methylisothiazolinone, and/or bronopol. The antimildew agent is from 3-iodo-2-propargyl Bu carbamate, and/or p-hydroxybenzoate. The rapid germicide is from p-chloro-3,5-dimethylphenol, and/or 2,4-dichloro-3,5-dimethylphenol. The solvent is from 1,2-propanediol, glycerol, glycol, and/or dipropylene glycol. The additive is from hydrogenated castor oil, nonylphenol polyoxyethylene ether, fatty alc. polyoxyethylene ether, sodium dodecyl ether sulfate, and/or alkyl glycoside. The stabilizing agent is from sodium nitrate, lithium nitrate, potassium nitrate, and/or benzoyl peroxide. The antiseptic and antimildew composition is produced by (1) dissolving antiseptic in deionized water, neutralizing with base to pH 2-4, adding stabilizing agent under stirring, filtering to obtain antiseptic aqueous solution, (2) dissolving antimildew agent in solvent, adding rapid germicide and additive in that order under stirring to obtain antimildew germicide solution, and (3) mixing uniformly both solutions under stirring. The antiseptic and antimildew composition can be specially used in wet tissue, with reasonable formula, and good antiseptic and antimildew effects.
