The reaction mixture was then diluted with ethyl acetate (30 mL), washed with saturated aqueous sodium chloride solution (3 x 30 mL), dried over sodium sulfate, filtered, and concentrated in vacuo. Preparative thin layer chromatography on silica gel (Eluent: 1 :3 ethyl acetate / petroleum ether) provided the product as a light yellow oil. Yield: 55 mg, 94 muetaiotaomicronIota, 59percent. LCMS m/z 607.0 [M+Na+].
